I recently jumped on the Kendra Scott bandwagon when I visited Austin and went to the Kendra Scott Flagship store at 1701 South Congress Avenue, Austin, TX. It’s a beautiful location! This was my first post-Covid trip, and I was so excited to leave the San Francisco Bay Area (as much as I love SF and Berkeley).
At the Kendra Scott HQ, There’s a cute little cafe in the front with tables on the patio, and once you enter the store, the displays are set up perfectly with dainty little pieces of glimmering jewelry in perfect lighting. The customer service was absolutely amazing as well. If you’re ever visiting Austin and doing the South Congress Crawl, I highly recommend visiting the Kendra Scott flagship store.
I initially visited the Kendra Scott store in Austin for a coin necklace as I’ve seen everyone wearing them and layering them to spruce up their t-shirt and jeans. I ended up getting something similar, but better IMO. I got the Kendra Scott Davis Charm in 18k Rose Gold Vermeil. I got it engraved with my three initials, aka, a Monogram. It came out so sleek. The cool thing about going to the store is I got to watch the monogram machine do its thing.
To match my Kendra Scott necklace charm, I purchased the Kendra Scott 18’ Thin Chain in 18k Rose Gold Vermeil. Dainty and has a nice delicate sparkle. A classic chain style that can be worn right below by collar bone, or at the base of my cleavage when I’m feeling “cheeky”.
So, what is Kendra Scott Vermeil?
Vermeil should be the same everywhere, but may vary slightly. Kendra Scott vermeil is sterling silver plated in gold or rose gold. Vermeil is a plating process intended to be thicker than a simple plating process, allowing for a slight more wear. It’s still a plating process and the gold can wear off, but the under exposure will be silver instead of a cheaper metal. This is what I love about Kendra Scott so much! Fashionable jewelry that’s intended for longer wear, and it’s price accessible.
The Kendra Scott necklace chain and charm still did cost around $200, so it wasn’t “cheap” but I feel like I can wear this for years if I take care of it well.
After my necklace purchase, I was hooked! Pun fully intended FYI. I like to think of Kendra Scott as where you take it next when you’re outgrowing BaubleBar in quality and colorfulness. I still hit up BaubleBar for some funky pieces that I know I’ll only wear 5-10 times, but Kendra Scott is where you go for the stylish yet sturdier pieces without going to fine jewelry (although there are some fine pieces with Kendra too - I feel like we’re on a first name basis now).
Before I found Kendra Scott, my go to high end accessory jewelry has always been Nashelle, from the Bend, Oregon area. I’m still a huge fan of Nashelle and she makes a slightly more earthier style jewelry, but with a similar quality to Kendra Scott. Nashelle is a company that gives back too, and over 1 Million meals have been given by Nashelle to people in need. My husband has learned that when in doubt, gift me Nashelle anything. Kendra Scott Ari Heart Hoop Earrings Review
Here’s what I love about them… The size and the quality, especially for the price! I adore the size as it’s just big enough to make a small statement, but delicate enough as to not be loud in the statement. I have days and pieces for when I feel I want to be bold, but for my every day, I want something delicate yet unique. The Kendra Scott Ari Heart Hoop Earrings accomplish just that. Kendra Scott does sell a handful of different heart earrings, and I browsed them all… After seeing the season of the Bachelorette with Hannah Brown and seeing her rock those heart earrings all season, I knew I wanted some. Before then, I imagined we left that style back in the 90’s, but I guess we’ve full cycles back. I know, I know… Hanna’s season was a while ago and I needed to do this much sooner.
I initially thought I wanted some large heart hoops or earrings with large open hearts in some way. After scouring the internet, the Kendra Scott Ari Heart Hoop Earrings were the ones that kept calling back to me. At this point, I was already two months in love with my Kendra Scott necklace I purchased in Austin. Some of the reviews of other Kendra Scott heart earrings that were on the larger scale had a lot of complaints of the splash breaking. The Kendra Scott Ari Heart Hoop Earrings have a few reviews with this complaint, but I imagine the customer service experience to be pretty good from my experience in the Kendra Scott store being so fantastic, that is of course if you’re on of the few to have this experience.
My experience… The clasps on these Kendra Scott Ari Heart Hoop Earrings work well and they fasten tightly together with a nice snap.
The jewelry came in a beautiful cloth bag and it was packed well. It arrived a couple days after purchase, which is always nice when you’re excited to wear new pieces for the new season. No one wants to wait weeks for that, especially if there’s a special occasion coming up.
Here are some pictures of me wearing the Kendra Scott Ari Heart Hoop Earrings and the necklace at Paraduxx winery in Napa, CA. Please excuse the wine lips and obviously buzzed day-drinking smile. You can’t see the charm, but the chain and earrings are visible in these photos. All Kendra Scott! It was 109F out that day, so I sweat all over the pieces and they managed fine. No tarnishing and no wear through.
As you can see, I purchased the Kendra Scott Ari Heart Hoop Earrings in 18k Gold Vermeil, which is a gold plated sterling silver. This option was $88. If you want to purchase them in Sterling Silver, they’re solid silver all the way through and only $68! For solid silver, designer, and delivered to your door in a few days… not bad my friends.

My Other Favorite Kendra Scott Purchases!
The monogram chain necklace is absolutely one of my favorite items in my jewelry box (if it ever even makes it off my neck). If it looks slightly worn, it’s because these pictures are taken after owning the pieces for a while, and wearing the monogram necklace for almost every day for a year. It holds up very well! The pairing I purchased was the 18 Inch Thin Chain Necklace In 18k Rose Gold Vermeil, with the Davis Charm In 18k Rose Gold Vermeil. It’s a little spendy, but they hold up very well and it’s way cheaper than buying solid gold. I also selected the traditional 3-letter monogram, which is currently the option to the far right on the website. It looks just like the option in my pictures.
