In my 20’s I used to backpack through Europe, and I’ve traveled to over 50 countries and territories in my 39 years. Now that I’m a little older, I still enjoy the adventure and roughing it occasionally, however, I also like a nice luxurious vacation. When I do travel to Europe, I still want the experience of being able to pack up my luggage with ease to hop on my Eurail or Vueling flight to head to another country. Why Paravel?
Paravel is widely recognized for their commitment to sustainability in the travel industry. Here’s a general rundown of Paravel's sustainability initiatives:
Use of Recycled Materials: Paravel is known for incorporating recycled materials into their products, such as recycled zippers. This practice helps reduce the demand for new resources and minimizes the environmental impact of manufacturing.

I typically buy leather goods, however, I’m also trying to be environmentally conscious and have gone mostly Pescatarian. Paravel’s vegan leather is better than others. Paravel also uses a 100% post-consumer plastic bottle ultra-lightweight and water-resistant nylon fabric and an Ecocraft Canvas that gets the sustainable stamp of approval from the Oeko-Tex Standard 100. Lastly Paravel’s zippers are recycled, and surprisingly strong and stylish too.
High End Designer Items at Mid-Range Budget: Now, Paravel items aren’t cost effective or cheap. Their commitment to sustainability does add more cost to the production of their items, and the brand’s items present as high end designer items such as Louis Vuitton. The cost is around 30% of what those high end designer items cost. You won’t be getting real leather like those designer items. You’ll be getting something better for the environment.
What will fit in the Paravel Crossbody Phone Bag?
The Phone Bag Only:
Phone: The primary purpose of the Paravel Crossbody Phone Bag is to carry your phone securely and conveniently and without a bulky bag.
Cards and ID: The Paravel Crossbody Phone Bag has a large slot or pocket for your credit cards, ID, or other essential cards.
A Key: A flat key can fit in the card compartment in the Paravel Crossbody Phone Bag. Not a set of keys, but a single flat house-style key should fit with a few cards and cash.
Cash or Coins: There’s room for some cash or a few coins in the Paravel Crossbody Phone Bag, however, large cash-stacks or a lot of coins won’t fit.
The Phone Bag Set (with the coin bag):
Keys: The Paravel Crossbody Phone Bag with the coin bag has the ability to fit a small keyring.
Lip Balm or Small Cosmetics: Depending on the size, you might be able to fit small items like lip balm or travel-sized cosmetics in the Paravel Crossbody Phone Bag.
Small Accessories: Items like earphones may be able to fit into the coin bag of the Paravel Crossbody Phone Bag IF you don’t have keys and cosmetics in there.
It’s highly recommended to get the full Phone Bag Set for the additional $25 as you won’t be able to fit nearly as much without it. If you have pockets and you wear glasses or sunglasses, you can also use the bag for your glasses and put your phone in your pocket for a minimal bag experience.
There was no weird flapping around. The Paravel Crossbody Phone Bag laid well on my body, and it made me feel like my belongings were safe and lightweight…along with stylish. The Atlas Tan Paravel Crossbody Phone Bag matched with most of my clothing. However, there is a Black version as well.

Durable Construction: Despite being lightweight, these bags are designed very durably to withstand versatile use.
Zipper or Closure: The Paravel Fold-Up Bag usually has a zipper with beautiful zipper embellishments to secure belongings, as well as a zipper to keep the bag folded when it’s compacted and stored.
Variety of Uses: Fold-up bags can be versatile and used for various purposes, such as shopping, carrying extra belongings, or as an emergency bag during travels. Oftentimes, we travel and end up coming home with more than we left home with. This Paravel Fold-Up Bag makes a great additional carry-on or personal item in these cases.
Size: The Paravel Fold-Up Bag is surprisingly large in size for how small it compacts down. For a size comparison, you could absolutely fit a 12-pack of Coke inside and a few items of smaller clothes when the bag is unfolded.

Versatility: Fold-up backpacks are often versatile and suitable for various purposes, such as day trips, excursions, or as an extra bag when needed. We used our Paravel Mini Fold-Up Backpack for our daytrips when we needed more than a purse and wanted something easy to carry.
We purchased the Paravel Mini Fold-Up Backpack, however there is a larger version called the Paravel Fold-Up Backpack. The Paravel Mini Fold-Up Backpack was large enough for our needs. Unfolded, it fit a large water bottle, maps, a small sweater, wallet, room keys, sunscreen, lipgloss, makeup compact, and a phone.
The larger Paravel backpack would be better if you were going to be taking day hikes or you are a particularly large person and would feel odd with a small backpack. Otherwise, the small Paravel Mini Fold-Up Backpack is all you need.

I have a belt bag that I really like from Athleta, however, it’s big and bulky. I didn’t want to pack it in my luggage for the handful of days I may use it. Also, my Athleta belt bag is a forest green, and I wanted something more versatile.
I ended up purchasing the Black Paravel Fold-Up Belt Bag. The zipper embellishment is very attractive along with the gold zipper. In addition, you the fold-up parts of the Paravel Fold-Up Belt Bag were hidden really well on the body when it’s worn. There’s no way to tell that it’s different from any other European belt bags when you’re wearing it. Fantastic design, and it’s a great price too!

I originally purchased this to give to my husband. Then, I learned he has a toiletry bag he likes, so I decided to give the Paravel Toiletry Bag a try myself. I will note, the Paravel Toiletry Bag is designed in the stereotypical masculine style in that oblong design. After seeing how much I could fit into it, I realized that this design is a secret men have been keeping from us for way too long! The Paravel Toiletry Bag has a similar design to the other Paravel items with the same durable material so it matched and fit well.
